Vera and the staff at Big Rock,
I Just wanted to express my deep gratitude for the most EXCEPTIONAL service from your staff. My husband threw me a last minute 10 person dinner party last Saturday the 12th and everything was phenomenal! Allie was amazing as always as she took wonderful care of all of our guests and made us all feel really special. Phil was our awesome server and he was so great as well! I would also like to compliment the kitchen staff and pastry chef….. all the food and my cake was AMAZING!!
After our dinner we went up to got rocks and continued to receive awesome service from your staff up there (Jorge, Heather, Tony), they really made us all feel so comfortable and appreciated.
Last but not least, a shout out to your Valet Company, even though we Uber now, it is so refreshing that they still give us the warm and friendly greeting when we arrive and leave your establishment.
For all of the reasons I have stated above….. this is why we choose to and will continue to entertain our friends, family and our customers at Big Rock. Keep up the great work!

John Brown, one of your staff, was absolutely stellar in helping me when I suddenly became very ill on Saturday Sept 5th at about 8:30pm on the patio of your restaurant. He reassured me, and brought a wet cool cloth and water, asked the supervisor to arrange transportation back to my hotel, all without disturbing the event I was attending. (Colburn/Schoenbach rehearsal dinner for wedding season) I am SO grateful, and was afraid I would need an ambulance, but recovered pretty quickly after being nauseous – one of the restaurant’s valets drove me to the Townsend hotel and he was also polite and caring. I was traveling alone from Boston, and have the highest praise for your staff who took care of me in MI! Fortunately, I was fine the next day as a wedding guest. We attended the Vista Maria event Sept 10 and are extremely impressed at the excellent food, and perhaps more important: the staff. From the bartenders to the waitstaff, each was friendly, engaged and TRULY interested in delivering quality service. We commend you and plan to make a reservation for dinner soon!

We wanted to thank you for a very successful event last night! The rain cleared up just in time and we were able to enjoy a wonderful summer evening! The Gazebo is very comfortable and stylish! Louise and Rich were very attentive and helpful , the food was replenished regularly and very tasty and John the bartender did not let us go thirsty! Please extend our appreciation to them as well. DSM will definitely be back in the future!!

I would like to thank you for the fabulous event on Saturday, everything exceeded my expectations, the food was delicious, the staff was very nice and professional and the set up was exquisite. I will definitely recommend the place and especially you to all my friends.

Everything was amazing…I cannot thank you enough for all you did to ensure that our event was a memorable evening. I truly appreciate everything and everyone.
As for next year, I will see if they would like to maybe move it to a Friday. I’m not sure but that may work, especially if it means being earlier in the month.
